Статья посвящена проблеме контроля и оценивания как обязательных компонентов процесса обучения, раскрыты возможности этого важного элемента учебного в стимулировании активности студентов – факультета иностранных языков при овладении одной из теоретических дисциплин иностранного языка - лексикологией. В статье рассматриваются различные виды контроля, включая тестирование, письменные работы, устные экзамены проектные задания. Авторы анализируют эффективность каждого вида предлагают рекомендации по его использованию для определения уровня успеваемости студентов. Также рассматривается вопрос о корреляции между контролем общим уровнем владения лексикой английского языка.
